cup butter or margarine
cup brown sugar
1 egg (separated)
teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts


Cream butter and sugar together.
Add egg yolk and vanilla.
Combine flour & salt... add to butter mixture.
Lightly whip the eggwhite.
Roll dough into 1" balls.
Dip each ball in eggwhite, then roll it in chopped nuts.
Bake five minutes at 350
Remove from oven.
Make a small indention with your thumb in each cookie.
Bake for 5 more minutes.
When cool, fill the cookies
green colored icing.
Place 2 red cinnamon candies in the center.
