   ORANGE SLICE CAKE

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 lb candy orange slices (cut up)
2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups sugar
1 cup orange juice
1 tsp soda
½ cup buttermilk
3½ cups flour
1 lb. chopped dates
1 can coconut
2 cups chopped nuts

Directions

Combine butter & sugar...mix well with mixer.
Add eggs...mix well.
Add soda, buttermilk, & flour...mix well.
Add coconut, dates & nuts & orange slices...mix well.

Pour into a lightly greased & floured
angel food pan or bundt pan.
Bake at 250° for 2½ hours.
Remove from oven

Mix 2 cups powdered sugar
and orange juice.
Pour over the cake while still hot
